The Butchart Garden is National Historic Site. It is over 100 years in the making with breathtaking 22 ha (55 acres) of ever-changing gardens year round.
What To Expect
In the Spring you’ll find countless tulips, daffodils and hyacinths which will give you a buffet of fragrances and colours. In the Summer months, you’ll embark on sweet scents from The Rose Garden with evening entertainment and subtle night illuminations. Perennial borders start their stunning show in late summer. The Japanese maples turn to russet, gold, and red in the fall. Durning winter it’s easy to get into the holiday spirit with the Magic of Christmas with its decorations. You’ll find expansive lighting and outdoor ice skating rink. Families will also enjoy the summer Saturday firework show, boat tours and the carousel.

Butchart Garden offers various options whether your looking for a quick snack or an upscale dining experience.
The Blue Poppy Restaurant Opens April 2nd for the warmer months. Cafeteria style dining with lots of tables and amazing customer service. Plenty of choice food wise, inside and outside seating, nice friendly atmosphere and reasonably priced.
The Dining Room This restaurant offers a wonderful way to finish a visit to the Gardens. The actual dining room is simply charming, romantic and relaxing . Jan 15- March 31st they offer high end tea 11-3. Check site for full details.
Coffee shop offers convenient snacks and beverages to warm you up or cool you down, depending on the season.
